I have always wanted to be a writer!
I believe it came from my father, a love of words and ink on the page. The eagerness to learn. He only completed the eighth grade before he was made to quit and help provide for his family as his older brothers had done. I am told he read the dictionary from cover to cover, and a set of encyclopedias volume to volume. The sort of man you wanted on your side for trivia.
So, to introduce myself…I am a believer, an optimist, a “do-gooder”, and you’ve probably seen my heart on my sleeve a few times. I’m the oldest of 5 children, and the youngest of whom is an honest to goodness boy, who calls the 4 of us girls Nikkolinas, which means we are a little “different” and that difference is enough that we don’t care! I’m an ACE’s kid (Adverse Childhood Experiences), mother of 2 sons (and 1 daughter-in-law though she may not always appreciate being included in our family), and Grammy to 2 (of course) adorable grandchildren-one of each! I am a veteran-widow, retired nurse/nurse-practitioner/faith community nurse, and a neophyte maven (Malcolm Gladwell’s definition, which means I love to learn and to connect the dots to the people to whom those connections may help)!
I am also a wannabe writer, new house builder, and so wanna look great in jeans and a swimming suit! That means I also have a piano keyboard in the basement that I haven’t used yet?!
Anyway-it is wonderful to meet you! I always say we can never have too many friends!
Best wishes,
Yvette
